Bountiful Children’s Foundation Philippines, Inc. continues its mission to combat malnutrition and empower communities through impactful programs. From health screenings and nutrition training to humanitarian efforts and community support, the foundation remains committed to uplifting vulnerable children and families across the Philippines.

Promoting Child Health & Nutrition 

Bountiful Children’s Foundation Philippines prioritized child nutrition assessments and caregiver training to detect and address malnutrition:

MUAC Training & Screening – Volunteers and caregivers were trained to measure Mid-Upper Arm Circumference (MUAC) to assess children’s nutritional status.

Re-screening Programs – Regular check-ups ensured that children receiving supplementation were improving in growth and development.

The foundation successfully reached 2,557 participants, including:  

  • Pregnant & Nursing Women – 40
  • Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) Cases – 135  
  • Moderate Acute Malnutrition (MAM) Cases – 296  
  • Supplementation Program Recipients (SUP) – 2,086

These efforts reflect the foundation’s commitment to early malnutrition detection and sustainable health solutions.

Empowering Communities Through Humanitarian Efforts

With the generous support of Success and Money Foundation, Bountiful Children’s Foundation Philippines provided essential items to underserved communities, ensuring basic needs.

  • Slippers & Undergarments – Distributed to children in Rapu-Rapu and Aklan, promoting hygiene and comfort.
  • Backyard Gardening Support – Seeds, garden soil, and fertilizers were given to families in Caloocan, encouraging food sustainability.

Strengthening Leadership & Advocacy

To improve program effectiveness, board members, coordinators, and volunteers participated in:  

  • Online Training – Covered child protection policies, photography guidelines, and volunteer coordination to enhance professionalism and ethical service delivery.  
  • PPAN Gabayserye Webinar – Representatives attended a National Nutrition Council (NNC) 10-episode series on best practices for malnutrition prevention and community-based nutrition programs.

These trainings ensured that leaders remain equipped with up-to-date knowledge in tackling malnutrition and child welfare.

Expanding Recognition & Public Awareness  

  • DSWD Registration & Licensing The foundation achieved a major milestone by officially securing government accreditation, opening opportunities for future partnerships and funding.  
  • Live Radio Appearances – Bountiful Children’s Foundation Philippines reached a wider audience through Radyo Pilipinas Dagupan and Radyo Pwersa Bicol, advocating for child nutrition and community engagement.

Spreading Joy & Strengthening Bonds  

  • Christmas Gift – Giving & Community Gatherings – Volunteers and donors brought holiday cheer through thoughtful presents, strengthening relationships with beneficiaries.
  • Humanitarian Tour in Cebu – Donors actively participated in health screenings, home visits, and even toilet construction projects, demonstrating generosity in action.

Building a Stronger Team for Greater Impact

Bountiful Children’s Foundation Philippines welcomed Hanna P. Libre, RSW (Registered Social Worker) to the team. With her background in community work and program coordination, she strengthens the foundation’s efforts to serve families with compassion and efficiency.
