About Bacacay

Recipients: Barangays Bacacay and Sto. Domingo.

Sources of living are rope-making, fishing and copra industry, abaca handicraft, and fish vendor. All recipients are mostly elementary graduates; some are high school undergraduates. Houses are made of cement and nipa/anahaw. They have their own toilets.

Janice Ramada

Bacacay Community Coordinator

Janice, born on February 6, 1985, in Nasugbo, Batangas, currently resides in Bacacay, Albay with her husband Paulo Ramada. Her dedication to improving children’s nutrition led her to volunteer with BCF in Bacacay.

Janice finds immense joy in providing supplements and sharing health lessons with parents and caregivers, having completed her basic health lesson training. Her role as a BCF volunteer allows her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children by addressing nutritional needs and promoting health awareness.

Bountiful’s Community Coordinators

Community coordinators serve with Bountiful as volunteers. They organize other local volunteers and together conduct screenings, train families, distribute locally-purchased nutritional supplements, and follow up on infant development.
