About Tabaco
Recipients: Barangays Bangkilingan, Gubat, Salvacion, Fatima, Bantayan in Tabaco; Barangays Nagas, Bagumbayan, Kale, Libio in Tiwi, Barangays Comun, Cabunturan, in Malinao; and Barangay Cabangan in Malilipot.
These towns are rice farming communities and fishing communities along Lagonoy Gulf. The main sources of income of the recipients are mainly padyak drivers, vendors, construction laborers, and part-time odd jobs. Educational attainment is a mix of high school undergrads, high school graduates, and college undergrads.
The houses of our recipients are made of semi-concrete, own toilets and others are concrete. Some lived in rural areas others in urban areas, while others in upland.
Since we are living near the lagonoy gulf we are prone to typhoon. We were always devastated by the last typhoons. Some were not given ayuda by the LGUs because of political issues. Some of our recipients were already located at the relocation site. Some recipients lived in congested areas and informal settlements. Some families are starving due to lack of jobs. Others have vices instead of caring for their families. A few of them are members of 4Ps and listahan ng tahanan.
