About Montalban
Recipients: Barangays Burgos and Manggahan.
We have upland farming. We have a continuous harvest of corn, bananas, and root crops like cassava, sweet potatoes, purple yam, taro, ginger, turmeric, and citruses like pomelo, lemon, and kalamansi. Seasonal fruits like kaimito, soursop, tamarind, varieties of mangoes, and avocado. Near the waters, some farmers plant eggplants, bitter gourd, radish, long beans, squash, etc.
The majority of municipal income comes from aggregates quarrying, landfills, housing, and construction. Most of the fathers are construction laborers. Mothers finished only elementary level and houses are made of light materials to unfinished concrete. Montalban is now the most populated town in the Philippines due to becoming a resettlement area of informal settlers in different parts of Manila.
