Evelyn Salcedo
Cadiz Community Coordinator
Evelyn, hailing from Sagay, found her calling in working with children early on, fostering a deep passion for their well-being. This drive led her to volunteer as a coordinator at BCF where she dedicates herself to supporting parents who struggle to provide essential nutrition and healthcare for their infants. Witnessing firsthand the heartbreaking effects of infant malnutrition due to poverty stirred Evelyn to join BCF, where she feels privileged to empower parents to ensure their infants grow up healthy. Her role allows her to witness children thrive, a source of immense fulfillment and joy.
She finds profound satisfaction in her work at BCF for several reasons. Firstly, seeing the joy on parents’ and children’s faces when they receive crucial nutritional support is incredibly fulfilling. Secondly, educating parents and witnessing them apply these lessons in their own lives brings her a deep sense of accomplishment. Lastly, observing the positive health transformations in children underlines the impact of her work, making every effort worthwhile.
She completed all health lesson training at BCF. She has effectively taught parents, who have applied these lessons with visible positive changes, enhancing the health and well-being of their children.
Bountiful’s Community Coordinators
Community coordinators serve with Bountiful as volunteers. They organize other local volunteers and together conduct screenings, train families, distribute locally-purchased nutritional supplements, and follow up on infant development.
