About EB Magalona

Recipients: Brgy. Tabigue, Brgy. Manta-angan, Hda. Pilar, Brgy. Alicante and Minisca Village, Brgy. Gahit all are within the town of E. B. Magalona.

Barangays Tabigue and Mantaangan are farming communities.  They plant rice, sugarcane, and a little part of vegetables. Barangay Alicante is a fishing community. Barangay Gahit is a combination of farming ang fishing.

The main sources of income of the families are farming, fishing, and construction labor. The parents of our recipients are high school graduates on average. The houses are mostly made of light materials and some have dirt floors.

Brgy. Manta-angan area is congested such that their houses are just half a meter away from each other and they are prone to typhoon winds because they are near the sea. In some areas, the recipient families are informal settlers.

Sheila P. Bolivar

EB Magalona Community Coordinator

Sheila was born on April 15, 1982, in Manapla, Negros Occidental. Married to Norlito Bolivar, they have been blessed with two daughters.
Despite juggling roles as a devoted mother, supportive wife, and diligent Business Administration student, she finds time to contribute to her community through volunteer work with BCF since 2017.

Sheila’s dedication to community service is evident in her involvement with BCF, where she distributes supplements and teaches health lessons aimed at combating malnutrition among recipients in her area. Her compassionate spirit and commitment to making a positive impact reflect her values and aspirations beyond her busy schedule.

Bountiful’s Community Coordinators

Community coordinators serve with Bountiful as volunteers. They organize other local volunteers and together conduct screenings, train families, distribute locally-purchased nutritional supplements, and follow up on infant development.
