Background on Coatepeque, Guatemala Community:

The community of Coatepeque is located in the west of Guatemala, 35 kilometers from the border with Mexico. Its climate is tropical, people are dedicated to livestock, agriculture, sugar cane, palm oil, fishing, and trade. Even when there are many resources, the status of people is very marked between rich and poor, with most of the poor people standing out, directly affecting the malnutrition of children. Bountiful Children’s Foundation has the support of the local church leaders in opening the church buildings for our use. We are training our local coordinator Lili Palacios, who is very enthusiastic and grateful for the program in her stake. Coatepeque has a stake of the Church, and Bountiful is opening all the wards in the stake which include these villages:

Colomba Genova Gardenias
Esperanza Jardin Dalmatian
Coatepque Magnolia Pajapita
La Blanca
