Fact from UNICEF / WHO / World Bank:

Good Nutrition

Good nutrition sets children on the path to survive and thrive. Well-nourished children grow, develop, learn, play, participate and contribute – while malnutrition robs children of their full potential, with consequences for children, nations and the world.

Patricia Portilla López de Morales

Community Coordinator

I am Patricia Portilla López, the second of five siblings, my parents José Alberto and Nely, are still alive. I studied Nursing. I married Albeiro Morales, a man who loves, serves and believes in Jesus Christ. We have been in the church for 27 years. My daughter Yury Jhoanna is a Certified Public Accountant. My son Esteban José is studying Law and Political Science. They have been a blessing to us. I like to read, draw, make caricatures, and am passionate about interior design. I like everything that helps those most in need. The Bountiful Foundation came to my city in 2014. It has been a rewarding experience and a blessing to represent the Foundation for this population of vulnerable children.

Bountiful's Community Coordinators

Community coordinators serve with Bountiful as volunteers. They organize other local volunteers and together conduct screenings, train families, distribute locally-purchased nutritional supplements, and follow up on infant development.

Palmira’s Blue Neighborhood

Several families in the Bountiful program live in Palmira, Colombia in an area called the Blue neighborhood. The houses have one house on top of the other and are tiny. They have blue tarps for the roofs.
