Tim Heaton, our current President and CEO, is shown above training local Bountiful coordinators. In this video he shares why he volunteers his professional services pro bono to the Bountiful Children’s Foundation:
Tim resides in Springville, Utah with his wife Tammy. They have 4 children and 12 grandchildren. Tim was a sociology professor at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah for many years. As a professor, he would take students on humanitarian trips. His students also had a chance to evaluate different nonprofits, and he was introduced to Bountiful Children that way. Tim felt that Bountiful Children was doing the best to help children and decided to volunteer after he retired. He has been very involved in the behind the scenes work of Bountiful ever since. Tim has travelled to several countries doing trainings and screenings with coordinators. He would also train coordinators on the use of a new app his neighbor developed for the program for use by coordinators to enter in the children’s information at each screening. He has also taken many friends and family members on trips to see how their donations are helping the children. This blog post reports on his recent group trip to Guatemala. We are so grateful for Tim!
